NGP required application materials

Applications for Class of 2009 will be due
October 30, 2008

To qualify for the Class of 2009, the following criteria must be met
(if not certain you qualify, please email the NGP Recruiting office at ngp@pnl.gov or call 206.528.3422) 

  • U.S. citizen eligible for high-level security clearance
  • Graduate student (recently completed or currently enrolled)
  • Career interest in nuclear nonproliferation, U.S. national security interests
  • Demonstrated maturity, good judgment, self-motivation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in an integrated environment  
  • Highly desirable academic specializations include:
     
  • International Affairs

  • Political Science

  • Economics

  • Chemical Sciences

  • Physics

  • Nuclear Science/Engineer Engineering
     

  • In addition, conversationally fluent in a language as well as program management and budget skills are a plus.

  1. Online NGP Application Form, new users/applicants will need to create a user name and password
     
    • Expression of Interest Letter
    • Security Clearance Acknowledgement Form
    • Two letters of recommendation
    • Resume
       
  2. Online resume must be provided in above online form and through the different online form below -- both are required; thanks for your patience.

    To upload your resume, click here (opens in a separate window). The first step is to click the Register Now link in the login box. After registering, click the Back button in your browser to return to the Login box. Enter your new account information and the Job ID #115530.
     
  3. Mail official transcripts* to:

    *Please provide your undergraduate and graduate official transcripts. If you are a first-year graduate student and a transcript is not available, provide a letter from the college/university registrar's office stating the program you are enrolled in and dates of enrollment along with a list of courses you are attending.

    NOTE:  Expediting transcripts from your school is strongly encouraged.
